Crisis Numbers
EMERGENCIES
Emergency: Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room
If calling 911 due to a life threatening mental health emergency, it can be helpful to tell the dispatcher you are calling regarding a person who has a mental illness and request a CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) trained officer and/or someone who has experience responding when someone has a mental illness. CIT trained officers will often be better equipped to respond effectively and compassionately to mental health emergencies
